In a packed and buzzing Sugar Club, the Dublin chapter of the IXDA hosted the annual Design for Use (Defuse) event as part of Design Week Ireland.
Mathew Bates was one of the twelve speakers who shared stories of their experience in Interaction design. Mat presented his perspective on designing the physical user experience, revealing the process behind the design of the Logitech FabricSkin Folio for iPad. Other topics from the night ranged from ‘the insanity of developing apps’ to a proposition to redesign the lunch experience.
Thanks to our own Jeff Simons, his fellow volunteers and the Dublin Chapter of the IXDA who organised the event. The diversity of speakers and energy of the evening left us all inspired and wanting more. One attendee, Mark Furlong, actually did get more; winning the Logitech FabricSkin Folio and iPad as part of the sketch competition sponsored by Design Partners.
The Defuse event brings professionals from the Irish interaction design community together to share their experience and ideas. You can find out more about the event on the Defuse website , view pictures from the night or follow the event on twitter.
